If it converts I would just try it out for while and then get the 2nd crib for the next one. :)
I found you on the Bee Friendly hop.
southernfriedgreenmom.blogspot.comAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11493943269516583541noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3383152384152603630.post-70541791261237331442011-04-08T07:39:29.044-07:002011-04-08T07:39:29.044-07:00I have mixed feelings about the whole bed thing. ...I have mixed feelings about the whole bed thing. Mostly because of the extra cash you have to throw out for every bed...AND MATTRESS! My two youngest are 16 months apart and we needed to move my son from the crib to a new bed for his little sister when she arrived. We just moved him straight to a BIG boy bed. I mean a full out twin. We skipped the toddler bed all together. Yes the twin was ginormous(?) but I didn't want to buy another mattress and bed that actually would end up only being used for a short amount of time. They get used to the new bed quickly. To keep all of my kids from free roaming we actually child proofed their room. We put the child proof door handle on the inside of the room so they couldn't get out of their room. When they finally fell asleep we would open their door and they were fine. However, some children do wake up in the middle of the night so we did have to keep the door closed until morning. Yes there are some of you that are going to think I am a bad parent. I lock my kid in their room. What is the difference between that and locking them in a crib? I still had quick access to them to get them out of their room, they just couldn't danger themselves by getting out at night and gettting into something they shouldn't. Eventually they learn to stay in their bed and can fall asleep without the door handle on it. You just have to find out what works for you and your child. That's my long two cents.Positively Peacheshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05738444939512578958noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3383152384152603630.post-24756913187797365562011-04-08T03:02:15.606-07:002011-04-08T03:02:15.606-07:00I'm guessing buying another crib that can conv...I'm guessing buying another crib that can convert into a full size bed sounds like the best option. This way you can buy it new for the little one and as you see them growing you can switch in between them without the pressure of having to do it right away. Good luck finding the perfect bed! I am now following you thanks to Friendly Friday, and it would be so nice if you could share the love back on my blog;)
Also today we have the coolest blog hop there is... no rules just fun and would love you to join in with us at Boost My Blog Friday, where you can meet lots of friends and have a great time:) See you there!
Happy FridayDesign It Chichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02150546017330307544noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3383152384152603630.post-52655563925292320992011-04-07T21:08:15.734-07:002011-04-07T21:08:15.734-07:00I think we are going to get a second crib too. Thanks for coming by my blog too!! :)Mommy McDhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13343744312873798205noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3383152384152603630.post-34989349312645242612011-04-06T15:40:23.489-07:002011-04-06T15:40:23.489-07:00Our younger two are 17 1/2 months apart. Once the big boy started climbing out regularly, we took the side off and he just uses it as a bed now. It'll probably do him until he's about 5 I think.
We did put a gate across their bedroom door though! (Sadly, he can now vault over that as well)
Thanks for stopping by my blog today :-)Kate @ UpsideBackwardshttp://upsidebackwards.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.com
